Heavy rains are likely to lash parts of Madhya Pradesh over next 24 hours. Weather agencies have also predicted flash floods and waterlogging in many areas in the state.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday warned of heavy rains in the states. Taking to Twitter, the chief minister people to take necessary action during flood-like situation. He also urged authorities to provide necessary help to people stranded in rains.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Sagar recorded 37.4 mm of rains, Khandwa 29 mm, Pachmarhi 28 mm, Umaria 26.8 mm, Seoni 18.6 mm, Betul 18.4 mm, Mandla 11 mm, Indore 8.6 mm, Ujjain 8 mm, Jabalpur 8.2 mm and Bhopal 7.2 mm of rains.
