Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday announced that arrest in cases under SC/ST Act will be made only after the completion of the investigation.
Chouhan made it clear that no action will be taken without investigation under this act.
The MP chief minister asserted that he will not allow the misuse of the SC/ST Act in his state.
The chief minister further said that he will make sure that the interests of every section of the society is protected in the state.
Reacting to Chouhan’s statement, the opposition Congress said that no one can violate the orders of the Supreme Court.
State Congress spokesperson Bhupendra Gupta said that if the chief minister means what he said then he should issue official order to this effect.
