Haryana Police today issued a “lookout notice” against Honeypreet Singh Insaan, the adopted daughter of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda.
Honeypreet has been charged with “treason” and hatching conspiracy to free Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh from custody after he was convicted last Friday for raping two of his female disciples.
Honeypreet has reportedly gone into hiding. She was last seen on August 25 when she accompanied Ram Rahim in the helicopter while he was being taken from Panchkula to Rohtak.
The Haryana government is reportedly looking into how she was allowed to board the chopper that took Ram Rahim to Rohtak.
In 2011, Honeypreet’s husband, a Panchkula-based Dera Sacha Sauda follower, had filed a petition against Ram Rahim in Punjab and Haryana High Court alleging that the Dera chief sexually exploited his wife. However, he later withdrew the petition after an out-of-court settlement.
According to reports, Ram Rahim keeps repeating Honeypreet’s name in Rohtak jail where he has been kept after his conviction.
Honeypreet describes herself as "Papa's angel, philanthropist, director, editor, actress and passionate to transform my rockstar papas directions into actions" on Twitter.
