Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing grief over deaths of people in devastating Kerala floods.
"Kindly accept the deepest condolences over numerous human casualties caused by the devastating floods in Kerala," Putin said.
"Russia shares grief with the friendly people of India and hopes for a speedy recovery to all those injured from this natural disaster," the Russian president said in his letter.
Over 300 people have been killed and lakhs displaced in Kerala floods which is being described as the worst deluge the southern state has witnessed in nearly 100 years.
