A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the army was killed on Saturday in an explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said.
Police sources in Jammu said that the incident occurred in Degwar sector of the LoC in Poonch. They said the JCO was critically wounded in a mysterious blast in Degwar sector of Poonch. He was shifted to Army hospital in Poonch where he succumbed to his injuries.
"The exact cause of the explosion is being ascertained," a source said.
