After fighting for justice for her sister Jessica, who was murdered in cold blood at an upscale Delhi restaurant in 1999, for years, Sabrina Lall has forgiven Manu Sharma. Sharma is serving a life term in Delhi's Tihar Jail  after being convicted of murdering Jessica.

Sabrina told the media that she has no objection to Manu Sharma, who has served 12 years in jail, being released from prison as she now holds no grudge against him.

"I have been fighting for this since 1999. He has spent 15 years in jail. You need to let go off anger. I thought it is okay if Manu Sharma walks free. There is no specific reason. You need to rest your mind and move on with your life. I have no objection if the court releases him," Sabrina told news agency ANI.

Manu Sharma was acquitted by a trial court but the verdict sparked an outrage across the country until the case was reconsidered in 2006 in the Delhi High Court. After examining the evidence again by the court, he was held guilty of murder. Later, Sharma approached the Supreme Court but the apex court upheld the high court's decision.

Jessica was shot by Manu when she refused to serve him liquor at Tamarind Court restaurant, owned by socialite and designer Bina Ramani in south Delhi's Mehrauli on April 29, 1999. Manu Sharma is a son of former Congress leader and minister Venod Sharma.
