J-K Police arrest three Kashmiri separatist leaders

The three leaders were arrested a before they were to be questioned by the NIA in Delhi.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested three Kashmiri separatist leaders today .

The three separatist leaders are - Ayaz Akbar, Mehrajudin Kalwal and Altaf Ahmad Shah.

Altaf Ahmad Shah is the son-in-law of hard-line Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani. 

The three leaders were arrested a before they were to be questioned by the NIA in Delhi.

All of them were taken to the Rajbagh police station. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Police said the arrests were a precaution to maintain law and order.

The National Investigation Agency has summoned the three to New Delhi for questioning on Thursday in connection with a hawala racket linked to separatist violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
