On health grounds, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MP from Ladakh constituency of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Thupstan Chhewang, on Thursday announced his resignation from the Lok Sabha and the party.
In this regard, he has sent a letter to party president in J&K.
Chhewang was national executive member of the saffron party and later he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha.
He secured 31,111 votes and defeated Congress candidate who got 26,402 votes.
