IAF vice chief accidentally shoots himself
Indian Air Force (IAF) vice chief Air Marshal SB Deo accidentally shot himself in the thigh, sources said on Wednesday. He then underwent a surgery after he was rushed to a military hospital in Delhi. He condition is stable.
There was no official comment from the IAF on the incident.
Deo had taken over as the vice chief of the Air Staff in January 2017.
Air Marshal Deo is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
He was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the IAF on June 15, 1979.
