India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Jammu region for the fifth day today.
The Pakistani Army has been targeting Indian positions along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu region during the last four days.
“The Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars at 9.05 a.m. today (Wednesday) on the Indian Army posts,” Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said.
“The Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively. The firing exchange still continues,” he added.
