Ministry of Law and Justice is all set to launch its own TV channel that will focus on discussing constitutional aspects of key issues like triple talaq and the uniform civil code, according to a report in Times of India.

The proposed channel will also organise debates on important judgements delivered by the courts.

The report adds that the Ministry of Law and Justice has sought a separate channel for this purpose from a bouquet of 32 direct-to-home (DTH) channels launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) called Swayam Prabha.

Swayam Prabha broadcasts programmes especially designed for the students of Indian schools and universities.

The law ministry, according to the report, is also planning to bring on board renowned Bollywood directors like Prakash to produce quality programmes on legal education for the marginalised sections of the society.
