Centre opposes triple talaq, urges SC to see practice in light on gender justice

The central government today told the Supreme Court that it is against the practice of triple talaq that allows a Muslim man to divorce his wife by pronouncing the word ‘talaq’ three times. In its affidavit, the NDA government said, “Validity of triple talaq and polygamy should be seen in light of gender justice.”

Centre to completely seal Indo-Pak border by Dec 2018 : Rajnath Singh
Home Minister Rajnath Singh today announced that the Indo-Pak border will be completely sealed by the end of 2018. "This is time bound, it will be done by 2018 December. We are readying an action plan for that," Mr Singh said after a review meet with chief ministers of border states.
