The Income Tax Department on Friday night recovered a laptop, a desktop and four pen drives from two rooms used by AIADMK leader VK Sasikala at late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's residence here.
"We received an input that some important electronic storage devices are going to be clandestinely removed from two rooms used by Sasikala in Veda Nilayam (Jayalalithaa's residence)," a senior official said preferring anonymity.
According to him, it was a limited mission. "We are not searching the entire premises."
According to reports, they had also searched an office of Jaya TV office adjacent to Jayalalithaa's residence, apart from the channel's main office at Ekkaduthangal.
The I-T Department carried out a massive search operations at the residences and premises of Sasikala's kin and their business associates only days ago.
