Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara
Two terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Guloora area of Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. A search operation was launched in the area following specific information about the presence of militants there, an official said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after militants fired upon the forces, he said.
According to the official, the identity and group affiliation of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
The encounter had begun in Handwara’s Guloora between militants and security forces early in the wee hours.
