At least 11 people were injured on Sunday in a grenade attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said today.
State police and other security forces, who were on alert due to the Buddha Amarnath yatra in the border district, have cordoned off the area and launched search operations.
A senior police officer told IANS that "11 yatris of Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra were injured near the shrine, when three men hurled a granade."
He said, "Two suspects were nabbed while they were escaping in a vehicle, but a third suspect was still at the large".
While 7 of the injured are locals, 4 others are outsiders.
The incident took place close of Dashnami Akhara in the city.
Meanwhile, broadband internet services were suspended across Kashmir.
Mobile internet services have been snapped since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani on July 8.
