Cricketer-turned-politician and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gautam Gambhir is set to sweep East Delhi away. Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Atishi Marlena may not be able to give a fight to Gambhir despite many rallying for her.
Gambhir and Atishi have been been involved in a major war of words ever since the former accession to the BJP fold.
The AAP accused the BJP and Gautam Gambhir of distributing misogynistic pamphlets against Atishi. The AAP leader even broke down in front of the media, showing the said pamphlet to the mediapersons.
Gautam Gambhir, on his part, said he was innocent and that he would hang himself in front of the entire nation if proved otherwise.
Delhi went to polls on May 12 in the sixth phase of polling and registered a voter turnout of 58.01.
The India TV-CNX Exit Polls has further predicted that the BJP may sweep all seven seats of Delhi -- just like it did in the 2014 general election.
