Delhi records hottest March day after 7 years at 37.4 degrees

Delhi records hottest March day after 7 years at 37.4 degrees

Delhi today witnessed its hottest day of March in seven years with maximum temperature settling at 37.4 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was seven notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.4 degrees, a Met department official said.

"The day temperature settled at 37.4 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the season's average, which is the hottest March day witnessed since 2010 when the day temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees," the official said.

Humidity level oscillated between 87 and 29 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted clear skies for tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 37 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.

Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 18.2 and 35.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
