Delhi Police head constable shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Jaitpur area
Unidentified miscreant fatally shot a head constable of Delhi Police near his residence in Southeast Delhi's Jaitpur area last night. Constable Ram Avtar was shot when he was out to fetch an autorickshaw for a family member from his neighbourhood.
He was taken to Apollo hospital for medical but he succumbed to his injuries. Ram Avtar was posted in Ambedkar Nagar police station and lived at Shakti Vihar near Jaipur police station.
The police are yet to ascertain the identity or motive of culprits. Investigation was underway and the body was sent for the post mortem.
