Delhi: Roads flooded by heavy rains, traffic advisory issued

Traffic in south and central Delhi has been affected the most due to flooding at several major roads and intersections.

Heavy rains in Delhi triggered jams across the city. 

Heavy rains in parts of Delhi brought relief from the humid weather but flooded roads added to trouble of morning commuters on Saturday. The Delhi Traffic police has been tweeting alerts about roads to avoid due to severe waterlogging in several areas.

Traffic in south and central Delhi has been affected the most due to flooding at several major roads and intersections. 

Traffic is slow at the busy ITO intersection. Minto Bridge underpass has been closed for vehicular movement due to waterlogging.

Areas such as Lajpat Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, RTR Marg, GT Karnal Road, IP Marg have also been affected by the slow traffic due heavy rains.

Traffic Alert: Water logging under Modi Mill Flyover, RTR T-Point near Shani Mandir Airport Road, Barapullah Flyover towards Railway Line, Rajghat towards Shanti Van Ring Road, Janpath towards Moti Lal Nehru Marg, Bahadur Shah Jafar Marg.

The weather office on Friday had forecast light rains in the city. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius. The humidity level was 92 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted rains to continue during the day.
