Delhi: Four labourers killed after lift of tower crane collapses from 35 feet

Those injured in the incident were declared brought dead at the hospital, DCP (Rohini) said.

Four labourers killed due to accident at construction site in Delhi

Four labourers were killed on Monday after the lift of a tower crane collapsed from a height of about 35 feet in Delhi, police said. The incident was reported at a construction site in Narela in the national capital.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta, the incident occurred at around 4.30 pm, when three labourers and a service engineer were working on the lift of the tower crane.

Pramod (30), Sonu (25), Sonu (27) and Raj Kumar (25) were injured in the incident, he said, adding they were declared brought dead at the hospital they were taken to.

A case was registered and further investigation is underway, he added.

The reason behind the lift to collapse is yet to be ascertained, Gupta said.
