New Delhi: Dawood Ibrahim’s deputy Chhota Shakeel has dismissed the reports as rumours that the underworld has been diagnosed with gangrene in his legs which had left him immobile.
According to a report in Times of India, Chhota Shakeel has confirmed that the gangster is perfectly fit.
“Your agencies have wrong information. Dawood is perfectly fit (Aapki agencies ke pass galat khabar hai. Ye sab rumours hain. Bhai bilkul fit hain. Sehatmand hain),’ the TOI report quoted him as saying.
Yesterday, reports were surfaced that India’s most wanted and the mastermind of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, Dawood Ibrahim, is reportedly having life-threatening gangrene and is unlikely to be cured completely.

The reports suggested that he is currently being treated at Liaquat National Hospital and Combined Military Hospital in Karachi. He also receives treatment at his Clifton neighbourhood residence.
Doctors who have been treating the dreaded terrorist say that his disease has reached an advanced staged and its healing is now doubtful.
The gangrene, according to doctors, was caused due to high blood pressure and they may soon have to amputate his legs. They also say that large amount of body tissue in his legs are already dead.
As per reports, he will not be moved out of Karachi and the army doctors will lead his treatment.
Dawood Ibrahim is prime accused of the 1993 Mumbai blasts that left 257 dead and more than 700 injured. Since then he has been in India’s most wanted list. Besides Dawood, Tiger Menon and Yakub Menon were also said to be involved in the conspiracy.
