Dismissing the claims made by naxals on killing of DD Cameraman, Dantewada SP Abhishek Pallav said multiple bullet wounds and skull fractures on the martyred cameraman in no ways indicates it was by mistake.

Questioning the loot of camera by naxals, SP said they looted the camera as it had recorded evidence of what happened in the first few minutes of targeted media ambush.

Naxals on Friday had released a statement on Dantewada attack, saying 'DD Cameraman Achutyanand Sahu was killed after being caught in the ambush and they had no intention of targeting the media.'

In a Naxal attack in poll-bound Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, two police personnel and a Doordarshan cameraman were killed  on Tuesday, cops said.

In the incident which took place in Nilawaya village under the Aranpur police station, two police personnel were also injured.

"Those killed were identified as Sub Inspector Rudra Pratap, Assistant Constable Mangalu and DD News cameraman Achyutanand from Delhi," Deputy Inspector General (anti-Naxal operations) Sundarraj P told PTI.

Reinforcements were rushed to the spot and further details are awaited, he said.
