“Pakistan ye kaan khol kar sunn le, ab ki ye jang chhidi to naamo nishaan nahi hoga. Kashmir to hoga, Pakistan nahi hoga.” These lines from the poem recited by one brave security personnel sum up the emotions of the billion plus Indians.
With pain in his heart and angst in his eyes, Himachal Pradesh head constable Manoj Thakur openly challenged the neighbouring country through his poem for killing 19 Indian soldiers in Uri.
Millions identified with his words and soon the poem went viral on social media. It was circulated on a massive scale on popular social media forums like Facebook and WhatsApp.
Hugely popular in India, the poem, for obvious reasons, didn’t go down well with the residents of Pakistan.
Soon, Manoj Thakur started receiving death threats for his patriotism. The threats came all the way from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Dubai.
But, his love for his country is too strong to be shaken up by any sort of threat.
Instead of worrying, Manoj is happy that the other side is petrified of his words. He took to Facebook to get back at those threatening him for his poem. He warned of severe consequences if any of the infidels ever came face to face with him.
Also, speaking exclusively to India TV, Manoj said he isn’t going to bow down because of such ultimatums.
“Such threats could never affect me in any manner. It will be an honour to sacrifice my life for India,” he said.
