Seeking some corrections in the recent judgement, Special Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Rakesh Asthana has moved an application in the Delhi High Court.
For consideration, the High Court will take up his application on Thursday. On last Friday, the court dismissed a plea filed by Asthana. He had sought quashing of an FIR against him in a bribery case.
Although the single judge bench of the High Court refused to grant interim protection to him, it asked the CBI to maintain the status quo for two weeks.
Asthana had sought liberty to appeal against the High Court judgement before the Supreme Court, which was granted.
Against Asthana, the High Court directed the CBI to conclude the investigation within 10 weeks. Deputy SP Devender Kumar had also sought quashing of FIR filed against them. However, the court turned down the plea.
