In yet another shameful  incident in Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl reached Bulandshahr (rural) police station, with an aborted foetus of four months in a bag, to file a complaint against a man who repeatedly raped her over six months and then forced to terminate her pregnancy.

According to a Times of India report, the accused, who has identified as Yunus Ahmad, is the neighbour of the victim at Bhaipura village in Bulandshahr who allegedly raped her six months ago.

Yunus then threatened her with terrible consequences if she told anyone about the rape and continued to assault her.

On Sunday, the girl had pain in her stomach, following which her mother and brother came to know about the crime.

When they confronted the family of the alleged rapist, they forcefully took the girl and her mother to a quack and got the foetus aborted.

“The girl was taken to a local midwife of some kind, who administered some pills to her but the girl's condition worsened, after which another woman aborted the child. Some discord occurred over the fees after which there was an altercation between the woman who carried out the abortion and the girl's family. After that the 'doctor' threw the girl and her relatives out of her house along with the fetus. The girl, however, kept the fetus with her and arrived at the police station. The fetus has been sent for forensic tests,” circle officer Dharmender Yadav was quoted by Times of India as saying.

When an FIR has been lodged against all the accused, the health department has also got house sealed where the abortion took place.

Earlier, on July 30, a minor girl and her mother, who were on their way from Noida to Shahjahanpur with four other family members, were gangraped by a gang of dacoits on the Delhi-Kanpur highway in Bulandshahr district.
