BFF jawan lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Samba Sector on Wednesday. Head Constable RP Hazra is survived by his wife, 18-year-old son and 21-year-old daughter. Today is his birthday.
Deployed along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu, Hazra was killed in unprovoked firing by Pak troops, BSF officers said in an official statement. The BSF jawan was “sniped” from across the border, they said.
Retaliatory fire has been initiated, a senior BSF officer said.
The incident took place around 4.30 pm. The BSF guards the Indo-Pak International Border (IB) in the region.
