Locals said the driver of the vehicle was speeding when it hit a tree and crashed into a pond in Araria's Tarabadi area.
At least six children were killed and three others were seriously injured when the SUV they were travelling into crashed into a pond in Bihar's Araria district on Tuesday.
According to reports, the vehicle first rammed a tree and then crashed into a pond killing six on the spot in Tarabadi area. The injured were rushed to a local hospital.
Eye witnesses said that the driver of the Mahindra Scorpio was speeding and lost control of the SUV. Local rushed to the spot immediately after the accident to pull out the occupants from the badly damaged vehicle.
