Muzaffarpur: Barely days after the infamous board exam muddle, another major scam has come into light in Bihar, much to the embarrassment of the Nitish Kumar government in the state over the shoddy state of affairs in its education system.
According to a Hindustan Times report, around 30 students enrolled in the second year of Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University’s Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course for the session 2013-16 have been declared pass, even though they had left the answer sheet completely blank.
The BRABU, headquartered at Muzaffarpur, recently declared the exam results.
This major flaw was revealed when an inquiry was conducted by the university officials after getting numerous complaints from students.
BRABU’s examination controller-cumproctor Satish Kumar Rai confirmed the development and assured that strict action would be taken against those found guilty.
“The matter came to light when the students applied for the scrutiny of their marks. When the answer sheets were taken out, we found that not a single word has been written on 30 answer sheets. But, passing marks have been awarded to them. All these answer sheets are of LND College of Motihari in East Champaran district,” Rai told Hindustan Times.
Notably, this is not the first time when marks have been allotted on blank answer sheets in BRABU.
In a similar incident last year, marks were awarded on 40 blank answer sheets of final year students of homeopathy.
