New Delhi: A day after Bollywood's renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar lambasted AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi for not saying 'Bharat Mata ki jai', Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has said that people like Owaisi should be exposed.
The Lajja author also had warm words for Akhtar, she said his speech was very moving.
She also said 'Bharat Mata ki jai'.
"Javed Akhtar@Javedakhtarjadu 's farewell speech at Rajya Sabha was very moving. People like Owaisi should be exposed. Bharat Mata Ki Jai (sic)." Taslima said in her Tweet.
Javed Akhtar on Tuesday came down heavily upon AIMIM leader and MP Asaddudin Owaisi for saying he will not chant ‘Bharat mata ki jai’ because the Constitution does not ask him to do so.
"He (Owaisi) said he will not say `Bharat mata ki jai` as the Constitution does not require him to say so. The Constitution even does not ask him to wear sherwani (dress) and topi (cap)... I don't care to know whether saying 'Bharat mata ki jai' is my duty or not, it is my right," Akhtar said amid thundering applause in the Rajya Sabha.
