The Muslim community took a big initiative today to resolve the Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid dispute in Ayodhya.

Two prominent Muslim clerics visited Ayodhya on Wednesday and discussed ways to resolve the long-pending dispute with the saints of the area. In a positive gesture, the saints welcomed the Muslim clerics by garlanding them.

The two Muslim clerics- AIMPLB member Maulana Kalbe Jawad and Maulana Abdul Mannan- met Mahant Janmejaya Maharaj and underlined the need to find mutually acceptable solution to the dispute.

Adopting a conciliatory note, Maulana Kalbe Jawad said that nobody has any problem with the construction of the Ram temple at the disputed site.

“ If the mosque was forcibly built at that place then it’s a sin to offer namaz there. Only a temple should be constructed at that place,” Maulana Jawad said.

Supporting Maulana Jawad, Maulana Abdul Mannan said that the dispute can be resolved only by evolving a consensus.

After talking to the two Muslim clerics, Mahant Janmajeya Maharaj said that the two Maulanas are in favour of the construction of the Ram temple at the disputed site.
