JNU VC credits BJP’s UP victory to 'development', gets trolled

Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University Jagadesh Kumar was today trolled for his tweets where he credited the BJP's victory in UP to "development" and "inclusivity".

Kumar who was associated with Vijana Bharti, an RSS wing involved with Swadeshi Science Movement, before he took over as JNU VC, has often been accused of acting on directions of BJP and for his affiliation with the Sangh.

“People of India have once again demonstrated overwhelmingly that we stand for development and inclusivity,” he tweeted this morning referring to the UP Assembly election results.

Kumar, also sent the same tweet to few journalists drawing sharp reactions.

The twiterrati soon started trolling him for the tweet terming it to be "unbecoming" of a person holding a post.

“U said , I'm not Sanghi or BJP member, u hv forgotten that ur VC of a University not BJP candidate (sic)," tweeted Sunny Dhiman, in response to his tweet.

Another twitter user said, “And a Vice Chancellor to a central university chimes in!"

“JNU VC cannot control his joy on BJP victory,” said a tweet.

V Lenin Kumar, former president of JNU Students Union (JNUSU) said, "JNU VC Tweets for BJP victory.... sir ji Abh Chaliye mandir banayengey".

“It is highly unbecoming of person holding the top post in a Central University to reveal his affiliation in this manner,” another tweet said.
