AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday said that the government should come up with a law that would invite a three-year jail term for calling an Indian Muslim "a Pakistani".
Owaisi, who was taking part in the debate in the Lok Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President's Address, said the law should make the offence punishable by three years of imprisonment. "Bring a law that if any Muslim is called Pakistani, the person will face three year jail term," he said.
The Hyderabad Member of Parliament (MP) also added that PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government would not bring such a bill in Parliament.
The AIMIM party president also termed triple talaq bill as “anti-women”.
