Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, on Sunday, met International-level kickboxer Nistha Chakraborty in Agartala, as part of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'Sampark for Samarthan' campaign.
On Thursday, party chief Amit Shah, arrived in Chandigarh to meet veteran athlete Milkha Singh and hockey player Balbir Singh senior at their respective residences as a part of party’s initiative 'Sampark for Samarthan'.
On Wednesday, he had met Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit and veteran industrialist Rata Tata in Mumbai. Shah met Madhuri and Ratan Tata to share Modi government's achievements during the last four years.
The BJP launched a mega public drive, 'Sampark for Samarthan', following the Modi government's fourth anniversary on May 26.
It announced that 4,000 functionaries of the party will contact one lakh people, who are well-known names in their fields, to spread the word about the government's works during its four-year tenure.
Shah will himself meet 50 people as part of the campaign. The BJP chief has already met cricket legend Kapil Dev, former Chief Justice of India R C Lahoti, yoga guru Ramdev and former Army chief Dalbir Singh Suhag.
