Honeypreet Insan, the controversial daughter of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who has been in hiding since past 38 days today said she has was on a run as she was being branded as an anti-national.

In an interview to a news channel, Dera chief's closest aide Honeypreet, who is in her mid 30s, dismissed all allegations against her for inciting riots in Panchkula.

Meanwhile, Honeypreet, who is absconding since August 25, is likely to surrender in Panchkula court today.

ON FATHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP

Honeypreet aka Priyanka Taneja termed her relationship with Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh as a pure relationship. She said her reputation had been tarnished intentionally. "Can't a father touch his daughter lovingly," asked Honeypreet.

Honeypreet even said that 'papa' Gurmeet Ram Rahim is innocent and that she shares no 'impure' relation with him.

ON INCITING VIOLENCE

Honeypreet, who has been on the run from several law enforcement agencies, categorically denied the charges levelled against her and said that she is not an anti-national and that she was not a participant in violence in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana that followed the Dera chief's sentencing.

"I was shocked when a look-out notice was issued against me. I never fled anywhere, was just waiting for the right legal advice."

HONEYPREET SUFFERING FROM DEPRESSION

A teary-eyed Honeypreet said that she is suffering from depression, that she is upset and even her family members have deserted her.

NEVER WANTED TO BE AN ACTOR

Honeypreet in an interview said she never wanted to be an actor. "There was no such thing. I did not want to be an actor. I always wanted to stay behind the camera," she said.

Honeypreet starred as the main heroine in five films Ram Rahim directed, produced and acted in, in three years.

HONEYPREET LIKELY TO SURRENDER TODAY

Indicating that she may opt to surrender before court, she said that after the Delhi High Court, she will now approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court for bail.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had rejected her anticipatory bail and asked her to surrender and join the investigation.
