In a shameful incident of sexual harassment of children, 23-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district has been booked on charges of allegedly raping a a 16-year-old minor boy, police said on Tuesday.
A case under the sections 7 and 8 of the POCSO (Protection of Children From Sexual Offences) Act have been registered against the woman.
The woman, who also filmed herself with the boy, had been reportedly abusing the boy for some time.
She threatened to post the intimate visuals online if the boy did not marry her, the police added.
Police officer T.S. Bhati told IANS: "We have gone through telephone records, SMSs and WhatsApp exchanges between the two. It appears the woman was coaxing the boy into marrying her."
