Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik  wish to pay obeisance at the holy shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer before they start a new life together, reports DNA.

After fighting much negative publicity and a talaaq controversy that had the media drooling for every small detail of the Pakistani cricketer's first marriage, the two feel that they need spiritual solace, says the report.

The couple stuck together through thick and thin to clear their name and now wish to pay obeisance at the holy shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer before they start a new life together. Though the final programme and date on which the couple will arrive are yet to be finalised, sources said that the couple is expected to visit Ajmer in last week of April.

Sources at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti said,  the Malik and Mirza families have intimated their Khadims in Ajmer about their plan. However, they have not finalised any dates for their visit.

"We have just received a message from them [the families'] to ensure that the couple's visit is smooth. They have said that they will get back to us on the date when the couple would pay obeisance at the shrine," said a Khadim of Ajmer Sharif.

According to sources, the couple, before leaving for Pakistan, would visit a few holy places in India, including the shrines of Haaji Ali in Mumbai and Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer.

Meanwhile, many Khadims have prayed for the couple's well being and happy married life. "Since their pre-marriage days were full of problems, I have prayed that the couple's married life is peaceful," Syed Qutbuddin Sakhi, a Khadim who attends to VVIP guests, told DNA over the telephone from Ajmer.

About the speculations of couple arriving in Ajmer, he said, "Since Shoaib has been to Ajmer sharif once earlier, I don't see a reason why he should not come with here with his wife. As Khadims are competing to make them their guests, the couple has not divulged many details."
