A 29-year-old woman was raped near the taxi stand at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, on the night of September 22. According to the victim’s FIR, two unidentified men threatened her and sexually assaulted her. The incident occurred when the woman was alone outside the station.
Police action and investigation
Initially, the case was filed with the CSMT Railway Police, but it has since been transferred to the Mata Ramabai Marg Police Station for further investigation. The police have launched a probe to identify and apprehend the suspects.

As per the victim’s complaint, the assault took place behind the taxi stand near the CSMT station. One of the attackers covered her mouth while both took turns assaulting her. The case has been escalated, and authorities are actively investigating the incident.
Police search for suspects in railway case
The Mumbai Police has registered an FIR in connection with the incident at the Ramabai Ambedkar Marg police station. The incident was initially reported to the railway police, who lodged an FIR each and later transferred him to the MRA police station.
According to police, the victim reported to officers that he recognised the suspects by face but did not know their names. Following the incident, the victim was shifted to a hospital in Dadar. As a result, police are actively searching for the suspects involved in the incident.
