The victims have been identified as Sharad Mhaslekar (75) and Suresh Madhalkar (78), according to PTI. Both Mhaslekar and Madhalkar were quickly transported to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital, where they were declared dead upon arrival. Building conditions under scrutiny

It remains unclear whether the building was officially recognised as being in a dilapidated state. In a related development, MHADA has released its annual list of 20 dangerous cessed buildings across the city.

MHADA's warning and safety measures

These 20 hazardous buildings collectively house 711 residents, including 494 residential and 217 non-residential occupants. MHADA has urged all occupants to vacate these buildings to prevent further tragedies. Occupants are encouraged to report any signs of danger to the 24/7 control room at Tardeo by calling 022-2353 6945, 022-2351 7423, or 93216 37699.
