Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election 2024 Exit Poll Highlights: BJP-led NDA ahead, Uddhav's Shiv Sena may win 9-13

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election 2024 Exit Poll Highlights: Maharashtra went for polls in the first phases of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections till May 20, and its results will be declared on June 4. The BJP-led NDA is slightly ahead of the MVA coalition due to a strong fight by Uddhav's Sena.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election 2024 Exit Poll Highights: Maharashtra is a highly crucial battleground in the Lok Sabha elections, which went for polls in the first five phases across 48 constituencies in the seven-phased polls in the country that concluded on June 1. The elections were fought intensely, different from what took place in the 2019 elections. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, which had fought the previous general elections as part of the BJP-led NDA, was divided after he joined hands with the Congress. Thackeray’s UBT contested the 2024 polls with MVA. Ajit Pawar led a split in the NCP last year and his party contested with the ruling alliance this time. Uddhav's Sena fought on 21 seats, Congress 17 and NCP 10, whereas the BJP contested on 28, Eknath Shinde 14, Ajit Pawar 5.

Key candidates in the state include Piyush Goyal (BJP, Mumbai-North), Nitin Gadkari (BJP, Nagpur), Supriya Sule (NCP (Sharad Pawar), Baramati), Arvind Sawant (Shiv Sena (UBT), Mumbai-South), Varsha Gaikwad (Congress, Mumbai North Central), Ujjwal Nikam (BJP, Mumbai North Central), Kapil Patil (BJP, Bhiwandi), Rajan Baburao Vichare (Shiv Sena (UBT), Thane), Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena, Kalyan), Danve Raosaheb Dadarao (BJP, Jalna), Pankaja Munde (BJP, Beed). Other key candidates include Navneet Kaur Rana (BJP, Amravati), Anup Dhotre (BJP, Akola). Shiv Sena, the BJP ally, had fought on 20 seats inthe 2019 Lok Sabha elections and won 18.     Maharashtra recorded a voter percentage of 62.21 per cent in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 13.     INDIA bloc leaders meet at Congress President Kharge's residence as final phase of polling nears end

    Leaders of the I.N.D.I.A bloc meet on Saturday to discuss their strategy for the counting of votes on June 4. The top brass of all the constuitient parties including Samajwadi Party, CPI-M, CPI, DMK, JMM, AAP, RJD, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) reached Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in Delhi to attend the meeting. However, the TMC and PDP skipped the opposition meet. The meeting is crucial as the seven-phased world's largest electoral exercise comes to an end today and the results are to be declared on June 4.

    Exit Poll figures to be out after 6.30 pm

    The Exit Poll numbers of West Bengal Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be out after 6.30 pm, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. The voting in the seventh and final phase of general elections will conclude at 5 pm on Saturday.
