Meghana Kirtikar, wife of Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar, expressed her disapproval of her husband's decision to join Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction. Instead, she cast her vote for their son, Amol Kirtikar, who is a Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate in the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency. Following the split in Shiv Sena, Gajanan Kirtikar joined the Shinde camp, while his son Amol remained loyal to Uddhav Thackeray and is contesting against Shiv Sena's Ravindra Waikar.
