A fire broke out at Sassoon Hospital in Maharashtra's Pune on Friday. According to the information, a team of fire brigade was rushed to the spot to douse the flame.
So far, no casualties or injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
"Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. There was a lot of smoke. The security guards also used internal fire extinguishers to douse the flames. All patients are safe. Apparently the fire started when someone was smoking in the restroom but the exact reason is yet to be ascertained," said a senior fire brigade official.

Fire at apartment of 11-storey building
In a similar incident, a blaze had erupted within an apartment in an 11-storey residential complex located in the Mohammadi district of Pune city on February 6. Responding swiftly to the situation, authorities had dispatched a team of five fire tenders to the scene to contain the flames and ensure the safety of residents.
