Eknath Shinde Dussehra rally: While addressing the party workers, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched a blistering attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray saying he buried the Hindutva ideology of Bal Thackeray for power and joined hands with Congress and socialist parties.
Shinde targets Thackeray:
CM Shinde said he won't be surprised if they (Shiv Sena-UBT) ally with Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM and even hug terrorist organisations such as Hamas, Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba for their selfish motives and chair (power)".
He also reiterated that the state government is committed to granting quota to Maraths which will stand the legal scrutiny and appealed to youths not to take extreme steps like committing suicide.
"You have buried the Hindutva ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray by going with Congress and Samajwadis for power. Balasaheb had given 'Garv se kaho hum Hindu hai' slogan from 'Shivtirth' (Shivaji Park ground) but slogans like 'Garv se kaho hum Congressi and Samajwadi hai' are being given from that venue," Shinde said.
Here's what Shinde said in his speech:
- The venue or location of the rally is not important, it is the ideas that matter at the end of the day
- Balasaheb criticised the Congress and attacked corruption in the party. Today, these people (Uddhav Thackeray party) are picking up the shoes of Congress who insulted Veer Savarkar
- To come into power, they can even form an alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi's party
- In the near future, these people will even meet with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Mujahideen to come into power which clearly shows their helplessness
- We are moving forward with Bal Thackeray's idea of Hindutva and our government is stronger than ever
- These people doubted Shivaji Maharaj's bravery. Uddhav Sena has left behind the ideas of Shivaji
- After Ajit Pawar joined us on the issue of development, the government currently has 210 MLAs
- People were dying due to Covid-19 but at that time Uddhav Thackeray was counting money sitting in 'Matoshree'
Uddhav Thackeray targets Shinde:
Meanwhile, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray attended the Dussehra celebrations in Mumbai and targeted the Eknath Shinde-led government in the state.
Addressing the gathering during Dussehra celebrations, Uddhav Thackeray said, "Conduct the elections (in Maharashtra) and the people of Maharashtra will tell you (Eknath Shinde) who is the real Shiv Sena. I challenge you to conduct an election in Maharashtra."
"There should be strong government, but not of one party with brute majority," Uddhav said while targeting the Centre.
"It's been 57 years but we didn't let this ritual to stop... Ravan was also a Shiv Bhakt (Lord Shiva's follower) but even then Lord Ram had to kill him because he kidnapped Sita," Uddhav said.
"The way Lord Hanuman had put on fire Ravan's Lanka... in the same way we will dahan this 'Khokasur' (aiming at Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena)," Uddhav Thackeray added.
