Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Senior BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Amit Shah is right in saying that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has already reached majority in the first four phases of the Lok Sabha elections adding the BJP together with NDA will achieve its 400-plus seats target.
Responding on how the BJP will achieve its 400-plus target and performance in the South, Shivraj Singh Chouhan told India TV in an exclusive conversation that it's not just the BJP which is raising this slogan but the people of the country are saying, "phir ek baar Modi sarkaar, abki baar 400 paar."
"And NDA will get 400-plus seats because if you look around in the entire country, there is only one agenda, which is the atmosphere of trust and devotion towards PM Modi, this is the biggest agenda during the elections," he mentioned.
"People want to see the dream of developed India being achieved, where is the Opposition, Congress is finished in states like Madhya Pradesh," Shivraj Singh said. The BJP will get 370 seats on its own and the NDA is surely going to cross 400 seats, he added.
"I am saying this with full confidence that the BJP is going to win seats in Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala or Tamil Nadu because we have Modi and people have trust in him," Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
"India is soon going to become the third largest economy in the world," he added.
"We are going to win all the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh including Chhindwara," the former CM said.
Responding to what stopped Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath from joining the BJP when there were speculations around, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said he didn't know the depth of this matter.
On Congress leader and former CM Digvijaya Singh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that he destroyed the state and added the former is going to lose the election by a huge margin.
Slamming the 'Grand Old Party', Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that hurt by the decisions of the Congress, people are leaving it and joining the BJP after being influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The former chief minister further said that Congress is not aware of the roots of the country, they don't understand the nation.
When asked about whether he'll be seen in the party organisation or the central government, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "Whatever decision my party will take, I will accept it. I don't have any personal choice."
"I want to dedicate my remaining life for the people of this country," Shivraj Singh Chouhan mentioned.
