Madhya Pradesh government to develop places related to Ram and Krishna as pilgrimage site

Earlier on June 21, during the International Yoga Day event, CM Mohan Yadav said the state government has taken up two projects - Rampath Gaman and Shri Krishna Path Gaman. He also said that lessons on Ram and Krishna will be taught in the schools.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the state government will develop the places associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites.

The chief minister directed the administration to prepare a full-fledged plan to develop religious places to encourage religious tourism. He added that the development of such sites should be done with the help of local elected representatives. Meanwhile, the department was also asked to make an action plan regarding the celebration of Gita Mahotsav and Manas Jayanti in the state to spread Indian culture and philosophy among the common people in the state.

Welcome gates to be constructed outside Bhopal and MP

Additionally, the MP government will construct welcome gates dedicated to Ram and Krishna at the entry points of the state capital Bhopal, CM Mohan Yadav said. During the review meeting of the Culture and Tourism Department on Friday, he also issued directives to this effect, an official of the state government said.

"The Madhya Pradesh government will identify the places associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna in the state and develop them as pilgrimage sites," Yadav said. Along with the dedicated gates for Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, MP CM also made plans to set up entry gates dedicated to Raja Bhoj and Vikramaditya. While Bhoj is an 11th-century king from the Paramara dynasty, Vikramaditya is a legendary king mentioned in Indian literature.

Moreover, CM Mohan Yadav directed the officials to build similar entry gates at the state boundaries so that people coming to the state may get to know about the culture and places of religious importance in the state, the official said. Emphasising the rising number of tourists in the state, he asked the officials to promote local products and religious tourism, through various museums, while branding the state.

Lessons on Ram-Krishna to be taught in schools

Earlier on June 21, while participating at an event of International Yoga Day, he said that lessons on Ram and Krishna will be taught in the state's higher education and school education. Referring to the upcoming plan, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, the achievements of Lord Ram and Krishna will also be included in the curriculum of higher education and school education because it is important to show the path of Ram and Krishna to children and students.

Meanwhile, he also said that the state government has taken up two projects - Rampath Gaman and Shri Krishna Path Gaman. The state government has decided to develop the places visited by Lord Ram and Krishna in the state as pilgrimage sites.
