Amid the allegations of the paper leak of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, which is set to be held today for the state service and state forest service preliminary exams, Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav said on Sunday (June 23) that their government will not tolerate any kind of negligence and will follow law and order.
Significantly, the statement by the CM follows after the police initiated an investigation over a report where a candidate informed that a Telegram channel is allegedly selling the MPPSC question papers for thousands of rupees each. He said a QR code for payment had also been attached herewith to the Telegram account.
Speaking of the alleged rumors, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh of the Indore-based regional unit of cyber police said they have received information about this Telegram account.
"We are investigating it with the help of the Crime Branch. Appropriate action will be taken after the investigation," Singh added.
Meanwhile, amid the ongoing controversy, it is pertinent to note that the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) on June 22 shunned all the claims about a paper leak while calling them misleading and baseless.
Debunking the rumors, in a statement released, MPPSC secretary Prabal Sipaha said, "Baseless and misleading news is being circulated on social media and other publicity mediums regarding the confidentiality and sanctity of the preliminary round of State Service Examination 2024 and State Forest Service Examination 2024 to be held in two shifts on June 23 across 55 district headquarters. Both will be conducted on June 23 at the scheduled time."
"Strict action will be taken against those spreading misleading information and rumors on social media and other means about the recruitment exams conducted by MPPSC," the release added.
