Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the BJP government has provided Madhya Pradesh with a new and prestigious identity by filling the pits created by the Congress. He was addressing a public rally in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone.
While addressing a public meeting in Khargone, the Prime Minister said, “I must have done something good that I am receiving so many blessings today. I have come here today to seek blessings to fulfill the resolution of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and I am aware that those who live at the banks of Narmada (river) never disappoint anyone.”
PM Modi expressed satisfaction over the pace of polling in the first 2 hours of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. He said that people's vote has lifted 25 crore people in India out of poverty. The Prime Minister said that the country is marching ahead because of the efforts of the people.
'One vote of yours made...'
PM Modi said, "One vote of yours made India 5th largest economy, increased India's global influence, abrogated Article 370 after 70 years, made an Adivasi daughter the President, gave reservation to women, sent the corrupt to jail, gave the guarantee of free ration and treatment, elevated the future of the youth, created unlimited opportunities, got 25 crore people out of poverty. One vote of yours ended the 500-year-long wait and made the grand Ram Lalla temple."
PM Modi emphasised that India is at a turning point in history. He urged people to decide whether "vote jihad" will prevail or "Ram Rajya" will be established.
PM Modi on Opposition
Attacking the Opposition parties, the Prime Minister said that the INDI alliance partners are fighting elections to save their dynasty. "They are contesting elections to save their inheritance and hand over their party to their children. They don't care about your happiness. INDI alliance not bothered about the fate of masses. There is a saying about INDI people but I think they are a factory for making fake videos, they will run it halfway through it and Modi will get tired of giving clarifications. There is a saying that applies to INDI people - 'Apna kaam banta, bhaar me jaye janta' (do your work, let the people say what they will)," said PM Modi at a rally in Khargone.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi exercised his franchise at a polling booth in Ahmedabad's Ranip soon after voting across 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat began on Tuesday morning.
'Congress asking certain people to Vote jihad against Modi'
The Prime Minister said that the intent of Congress is very dangerous, it calls for vote jihad against Modi. "In Pakistan, terrorists are threatening to do Jihad against India. Congress is also asking certain people to Vote jihad against Modi. They are asking the people of a certain religion to vote against Modi. To what level has the Congress stooped? They are surrounded by hopelessness... Is vote jihad acceptable? Can this be allowed in a democracy?" asked the Prime Minister.
He further said that to understand how dangerous the intentions of the Congress are, one must listen to those who had been in Congress for 20-25 years but now, have left it.
"These people who are leaving Congress are breathing fresh air and saying 'Enough is enough'. One woman said that she was tortured so much for going to the Ram Temple, that she had to leave Congress. Another said that the Congress is hijacked by the Muslim league and Maoists. Another one revealed a huge plan. He said that Congress Shehzada wants to reverse the Supreme Court's decision on Ram Temple just like his father reversed the SC's decision in the Shah Bano case," he added.
He further claimed that after every stage of voting, the Congress is reaching the peak of its love for Pakistan. "A former chief minister of the Congress said that 'our army commits terrorist attacks, and Pakistan is innocent.' Look at the shamelessness. Another big leader of the Congress said that 'Pakistan had no hand in the Mumbai terrorist attacks.' Another leader of the Congress's ally threatens India... 'saying that Pakistan has not worn bangles.' The Congress and the INDI Alliance are neither concerned about our faith nor about the welfare of the country. There is a frenzy among Congress people to speak against the nation," he added.
