Visitors to Madhavendra Palace, Nahargarh Fort, here can witness the second edition of a sculpture park starting on Saturday.
An example of a public-private partnership (PPP), the collaborative project between Saat Saath Arts (SSA) and the Rajasthan government is a contemporary sculpture exhibition in a heritage property.
"This project, being a contemporary art exhibition in an 18th-century palace, really reflects the ethos of Jaipur which is both seamlessly traditional and modern at the same time," the Park's director Noelle Kadar told IANS.
"As an initiative to support cultural activity and the arts in Rajasthan, the government offered us Madhavendra Palace, which was a dream location," Kadar added.
Calling the Fort, a popular tourist spot for anyone visiting the pink city, "a beautiful jewel", Nature Morte gallery co-director and SSA founder said it was chosen for its easy accessibility.
For the second edition, artworks by 11 Indian and 10 International artists have been selected for the exhibition.
The sculpture park, curated by acclaimed artist-curator Peter Nagy, will be open for public viewing from December 8.
