The world woke up to the news of Bollywood actor Inder Kumar passing away after a cardiac arrest. The actor appeared in more than 20 Bollywood films in his career extending over two decades. He was close to superstar Salman Khan as the duo shared the screen space a number of times in movies. One of the most famous of his movies is Wanted. On Friday morning, Inder Kumar suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence in Andheri’s Four Bungalows. He passed away at 2 am on Friday. The sudden death of an actor who wasn’t yet old enough to have met this fate, have raised questions over the deteriorating health awareness in India. Looking back at the timeline of Bollywood, there are a number of actors who lost their battle to illness.
Reema Lagoo
Few months back, veteran actress Reema Lagoo, who was seen playing the role of Dayavanti Mehta in a popular TV show Naamkarann, died of cardiac arrest. The actress played the mother to many Bollywood stars in some successful movies. Her demise came as a shock to many celebrities, who expressed their grief on social media.
Farooq Sheikh
Farooq Sheikh has delivered many powerful performances. He was also seen playing the role of actor Ranbir Kapoor’s father in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The talented actor passed away following a cardiac arrest on December 23, 2013.
Deven Verma
Deven Verma was one of the talented actors of the industry, who was known for making the audiences laugh with his comic roles. He died of heart attack and kidney failure on December 2, 2014.
Razzak Khan
Veteran actor Razzak Khan not only worked in Bollywood films but was also seen playing a prominent role in popular show Comedy Nights With Kapil. He passed away after suffering a massive heart attack.
Zohra Sehgal
Veteran actress Zohra Sehgal worked in numerous movies like Veer Zara, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and many more. The lady with infectious smile and full of enthusiasm died of cardiac arrest at the age of 102.
