New Delhi: Madly in love couple Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan not only have beautifully settled in their marriage but ensured their majestic nest was intricately carved out.
Their bungalow 'Mannat' is located in Bandra that is home to many noted and veteran celebrities from Bollywood.
As we know not all dreams get woven in one go, both Shah Rukh and Gauri too had to give in their years of love and effort to get their dream home right.
When the couple tied the knot in 1991, they had nothing close to a home, a friend's flat was all they had in name of their residence. In an interview during earlier times of his filmdom, SRK revealed that even then too Gauri turned around a simple flat into their home thanks to her fine knowledge of decorations.
Inside their flat was a mattress put on floor in place of bed, a bean bag, a telephone (acquired specially so that SRK could call up producers to take a follow up during his struggle), and a fridge (because both couldn't resist cold water).
According to Gauri, final picture of 'Mannat' was an outcome of 4 years of effort. As the world has got only few glimpse of the interiors of their house, housewife turned successful entrepreneur Gauri Khan has now finally opened doors to her palatial bungalow.
With Architectural Digest magazine, the couple has allowed to share the inside picturesque of their home. From classic rouge style furniture roped from London and Milan to Gauri's personal touches as an interior designer, this Arabian sea-side palace incubates multiple living areas, a library, five bedrooms, a gym and many other things a normal person would dream to see in a celebrity home.

Many may not have known this yet, but SRK-Gauri's 'Mannat' was originally named 'Villa Vienna'.
One of Bollywood's most successfully star wife, Gauri Khan lets you have a sneak peek into her dream home as she stands up on the front steps of Mannat.
The Grade III heritage structure that we can see here almost took around 4 years to structured.
Gauri in her interview to the magazine reveals that it was her idea to give her home a personal touch and hence made sure that almost everything from curtains to paintings, even tiles and carpets had her nod first.
She got her hands on these antique reframed Christian iconographs with help from friends anf noted fashion and interior designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

Their main living roon has been designed keeping fresco bordered skylight in the center of the ceiling, that comes up as the only source of sunlight in the room.
Gauri's fetish for artistic stuff got her this beautiful canvas by artist Subodh Gupta that has been laid as the focal point of the living area.
