New Delhi: Fierce on-screen lady, Rani Mukerji is on a promotional spree to promote her upcoming film 'Mardaani'.
So far, she was trying to play up to her role in the movie that is very masculine. We saw her sporting jackets and pant-suits for two of the promotional events. But finally, she did what she does best, that is decking up her in Indian attire.
Wearing a Sabyasachi floral kurta with cropped wide-leg trousers, Rani fails to impress at the recent event. Though these wide-legged cropped pants aka culottes are 'in' these days but the way Rani pulled the dress was a fashion crime.
The hemline of the pants was way-too higher and the print made look Rani even broader.
Ace designer Sabyasachi who designed Rani Mukerji's bridal attire and many other dresses seemed not sure what to do with Rani's this ensemble.
In the past events, Rani was seen keeping her character of a lady police and gave some rough and tough appearances with jackets and pants. But this look failed to mark it presence on fashion radar.
No doubt the idea of wearing Kolhapuri wedges with the suit justified the culotte trousers but the actress appeared a bit obnoxious with her hair-do confusions.
It seemed that Mrs. Aditya Chopra surely needed a hair stylist ASAP.Moreover, we seriously don't understand the need of heavy embellished hand cuffs!
Earlier, this gorgeous actress had spilled her black beauty in Sabyasachi anarkali with gold embroidered dupatta on the sets of a reality show.
She looked poised in the attire but the contemporary look that Rani has now adorned is not being appreciated by many.
From make-up to hairstyle, nothing in the look was gripping and attractive. Maybe the attempt of looking different this time has not worked in Rani's favour!
